From 14 to 18 May, our company took part in the main fair for Environmental Technologies which took place in Munich in Germany. Also this year the visitors were really numerous; in addition to having increased by 4% compared to 2017, they represented over 160 countries, testifying to the growing importance of the issue of sustainable development.
The fair was a place for meeting and discussing water management but above all on future technologies for a clean environment: digitally connected pumps, waste containers with sensors, autonomous sweepers and so on. The common denominator of the 5 days was certainly digital innovation. IFAT is becoming more and more a popular platform for the presentation of market innovations, in fact many companies working in the field of water and wastewater have presented new solutions and innovations for a sustainable and responsible use of resources.
As far as we are concerned, the fair represented further confirmation of how much our commitment to environmental sustainability corresponds to an increasingly growing demand also from the final consumer, aware of the need to dispose of plastic and non-degradable waste in an alternative way if we want to save this planet. We have also increased awareness of how important it is to recover resources while avoiding waste, for this reason we are very attentive to water treatment, water recovery and energy recovery plants which we obviously manufacture and/or repurpose in plastic material.
